off-the-grid living in Texas (or thereabouts)

Y'UTOPIAS documents farms and ranches using alternative and sustainable practices and people living off-the-grid in Texas. The material, gathered on a road trip through central and far west Texas was presented at The Reading Room, a Dallas gallery that sits across the street from Fair Park, the site of the annual, month long Texas State Fair. Installed during the run of the fair, the exhibition was a site for fair goers to discover alternative farming methods in contrast to the Big Ag narrative across the street. Like any good fair, Y'UTOPIAS included demonstrations and free workshops in fermenting, nut milk production and worm farming.
